![]() Agapé Mission Church is called to glorify God in this generation. Our history began in 1985 when we started a campus ministry at the University of Maryland, College Park. This was the precursor to our current college ministries, which now affect the lives of the students in seven different colleges and universities. In spring of 1994, the servant leaders of the ministry sensed God’s call to gather as a church. After much prayer to seek God’s will, we started to meet in a lecture hall at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County campus in August 1994. With an increased awareness of God’s call to minister to our communities, we relocated our corporate worship place to Columbia, Maryland in 1996. In summer of 2002, wee moved to our current building, the Agapé Ministry Center in Elkridge, Maryland (located between Baltimore and Washington D.C.). We have fellowship and ministry groups in Columbia, Baltimore and Washington D.C. for singles, couples and families with children and youths. Although we started as a church primarily composed of Asian American college students and post college young adults, we are becoming increasingly diverse in all aspects of our population. Several years ago, our commitment to minister to this generation led to the planting of Agapé Life Church in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, followed by Agapé Harvest Church in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina. We are an independent church, evangelical in our theological stance with openness to the Holy Spirit’s leading. We come together to passionately worship God with all those who are followers of Christ. It is our calling and desire to live and proclaim the Word of God. |
